Izzie Yardley at Cafe#9, The Imposter Tour

20 September @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

£13.80
Izzie Yardley is on tour to celebrate the release of her debut EP ‘Imposter.’ Released on Karousel Buried Treasure/AWAL, it was produced by Dom Monks (Big Thief, Billie Marten) with Ethan Johns (Ray Lamontagne, Crosby, Stills & Nash) on drums and Nick Pini (Laura Marling, Nick Mulvey) on bass. The EP has been supported by BBC airplay as well as garnering attention from Help Musicians and PRS Foundation.

Rooted in British songwriting traditions of the 60s/70s coffee house scene, Izzie’s songs tell stories woven into musically rich pieces, which nod to a childhood spent listening to classical, Jazz, Nick Drake and Kate Bush. Live, this becomes a performance that is both bold and powerfully vulnerable. Izzie has been gracing stages for a few years before recording and releasing, playing venues like Union Chapel and Omeara in London, festivals like Glastonbury, Black Deer and The Great Escape, and supporting artists like Matt Deighton, Beans on Toast, Beth Rowley and Ida Mae. You can also find her singing on the latest releases from Tom Jones and Freddie and The Scenarios (The Vaccines).

“Little vignettes of life with a delightfully Denny-esque voice… effortlessly, makes her guitar sound like a piano. Brilliant Stuff” – Bristol247

“A beautiful and deeply personal performance…The latest output from…alternative folk artist Izzie Yardley is another stunning composition from a seriously talented and honest songwriter” – FRESH ON THE NET
