Puppy Love Comedy Nightt

14 February @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

£15

Chihuahua-hahahaha! Valentine’s Day laughs in aid of Support Dogs
Tickle your funny bone this Valentine’s Day while raising money for people affected by autism, epilepsy and physical disability.
Sheffield-based assistance dog charity Support Dogs is hosting its annual Puppy Love Comedy Night – and there’s a chance to show love for its adorable dogs and pups-in-training who help people with a range of medical conditions, who will be in attendance on the night.
Once again, the event takes place at The Leadmill, and there will be laughs galore from four top comedians.
Jonathan Mayor is a Leadmill favourite, fresh from being official TV warm-up for Joe Lycett’s Late Night Lycett and is one of the north’s most in-demand comics.
Welsh stand-up Vix Leyton is a natural storyteller with a keen eye for observation, combining warm, whimsical charm with biting wit, who racked up sell-out shows at Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year.
Also on the bill is Kate McCabe, an American comedian now based in Manchester who is described as a wonderfully versatile performer with vast experience in improvised comedy.
Returning to compere the event after a stint introducing the acts at last year’s Puppy Love is Yorkshire funnyman Rob Mulholland.
English Comedian of the Year winner Rob is known for his intricately-woven, gag-packed stories and as well as hosting the Dead Man Talking podcast with Freddy Quinne, he has also written for BBC’s Mock The Week.
Rob, who has a rescue dog called Bernie Mac, said: “It was a really great event last year, the Leadmill is an amazing venue and as soon as I heard it was for dogs, I was in.
“It was also really cool and I’m looking forward to meeting the dogs again. It’s really nice to help out and do something useful.”
With drinks, yummy sweet treats from Sheffield-based BKED Cake House and table seating, it’s the ideal night out whether you’re with your Valentine or with your Galentine’s girls.
Support Dogs’ Puppy Love Comedy Night, sponsored by Taylor Emmet Solicitors, runs from 7pm on Wednesday, February 14.
