The Sheffield homes for sale where demand for viewings and offers is soaring

Purplebricks, the UK’s leading tech-led estate agent, compared data from 2021 and 2019 Easter bank holiday weekends, looking at valuations and instructions over the four-day period in Sheffield.

Across the city, there was a 22 per cent increase in valuations and a 60% increase in instructions compared to the Easter bank holiday two years ago.

Luke Williams, Purplebricks Local Property Expert for Sheffield, said: “The Sheffield property market has certainly been buoyant over the past few months, but the bank holiday weekend was even busier! Not only were the number of valuations higher than usual, the number of property sale instructions were substantially higher too.

“Sheffield’s property market boom shows no sign of slowing. If you’re looking to sell your property you really couldn’t be in a better position as we continue to see a shortage of properties for the number of buyers, which is driving up prices.”

These properties were among the star attractions over the weekend, with a high volume of viewings and offers.

Upper Valley Road, Meersbrook, had 40 viewings on Easter Monday with 14 offers made. It was on the market for £190,000 and sold for more. Luke said: “Meersbrook is currently in high demand and there isn’t much on the market in this price bracket; so, this home was always going to be popular with buyers. There’s an en-suite master bedroom and a converted cellar for extra living space.”

Cloonmore Drive, Norton, as featured in The Star last month, had 22 viewings and eight offers made over the Easter weekend. It was on the market for £450,000 and sold for more. Luke said: “This is a stunning art deco style house which has been refurbished throughout and is ready for a family to move into. There’s plenty of outdoor space and a roof terrace. There’s not many four bedroom detached houses in the area and the style of the home is rare to the market.”
