Dyson has just released its first ever handheld fan – and it’s set to be your new favourite travel gadget.

The Dyson HushJet Mini Cool has been designed to delivering powerful, focused cooling exactly where you need it, whether you’re lounging on the beach, exploring a hot city, trying to sleep in a stuffy hotel room or queuing in an airport.

As the name suggests, it uses the company’s unique and iconic HushJet air projection system, which is also used in their air purifyers and desktop and floor fans.

Thanks to this technology, it blasts powerful airflow (up to 25m/s or 55 mph in Boost mode), but has been created to stay quiet at the same time by reducing turbulence and noise. Choose from five speeds plus a turbo Boost for those scorching moments.

The rechargeable battery gives you up to six hours of runtime on a single USB-C charge, so you can be sure the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool will last through full days of travel and sightseeing. It even comes with a protective travel pouch too, making it airline-friendly and easy to stow in your carry-on.

The Dyson HushJet Mini Cool can be used in three versatile ways too: handheld for quick bursts of cool air, desk mode with the included charging stand for stable setup on your nightstand or table, and hands-free wearable mode with the Neck Dock so you can get the relief you need but still be able to hold your water bottle or valuables.

It will be just as useful at home too. Use it on your desk during warm workdays, by your bedside for a gentle breeze while you sleep, or around the living room for personal cooling without having to constantly have the windows open. The bladeless design means it’s safe to use around children or pets too.

If you’re in the UK, and you can’t wait to try the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool you only have to wait a little while longer. The company has released the gadget, which is set to become the summer 2026, must have travel device in the US and is set to launch in the UK later this month or early next month.

When it is available to buy, it’ll be sold direct via the Dyson website, and likely some other third party suppliers. We’ll confirm all the important retailer information when we have it.
