Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews has been given an ultimatum as questions grow over an alleged travel ban preventing him from leaving the UAE
Katie Price’s husband Lee Andrews has reportedly been issued an ultimatum, it emerged on Wednesday evening (May 13).
The former glamour model stunned onlookers earlier this year when she wed Lee Andrews just days after the pair first met.
Yet, while Katie appeared to be basking in the early stages of her marriage, reports suggest the relationship has begun to show cracks in recent weeks. Lee was scheduled to join Price on Good Morning Britain for their inaugural joint interview this week. However, mere hours before their planned appearance alongside Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, Andrews was conspicuously absent.
Price offered an explanation, claiming that despite Lee having been at the airport the previous evening, he had missed his flight. The 47 year old appeared perplexed, stating that Andrews had become caught up with business matters, given that he is based in Dubai where his commercial interests lie, reports the Mirror.
Good Morning Britain, however, had contacted the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which confirmed it had been providing assistance to a British national detained in the United Arab Emirates. Both Andrews and Katie vehemently denied that the individual concerned was Lee, and equally dismissed claims that he is subject to a travel ban preventing him from leaving the UAE.
Andrews subsequently took to Instagram, insisting he was at Muscat Airport in Oman, awaiting a flight to the UK. Nevertheless, the location visible in Lee’s post bore a striking resemblance to Terminal Two of Dubai International Airport.
A source has now claimed that Katie is “struggling” with the uncertainty surrounding her marriage. Speaking to The Sun, they said: “It’s one thing Lee supposedly missed the flight, but the videos of him at the airport while he desperately insists he is still coming are a hard watch.”
“There is a feeling that he needs to accept the game is up, and they are just worried about how Katie will react when she realises that something is amiss.” In recent hours, a former partner of Lee has alleged that he pulled a similar stunt during their relationship, also claiming he was travelling to the United Kingdom.
Alana Percival, who previously dated Lee, has shared footage he sent her, in which he claimed he was about to board a flight to the UK but was unable to due to a “flight risk”. In one clip she posted, he was collecting his bags and said: “I’m going to check out now, Oman Air, get my refund issued. I’m going to check Oman Air, Virgin, and British Airways, OK. And I will call you later.
“Terminal 2 is where Oman Air is so I am going to go and line now, just while they issue my refund, that just takes one minute. It’s just the desk behind me in there. I am at the business section. I just came outside because I was using words like flight risk and so on. I love you. I’ll sort it, OK.”
Overlaying the video with text, Alana wrote: “Another time he ‘pretended’ to be coming to the UK to come and see me. Wearing his cap so facial recognition doesn’t get him. Hahaha. More lies, lies and more lies. Delusional is an understatement. This excuse is one of sooo many but a flight risk if this one. He went all the way to the airport to lie when he cannot travel, lol.”
The Mirror has reached out to Katie’s spokesperson for a response.
