A popular cake shop in Sheffield is giving away 100 free cupcakes to mark its second anniversary.

Cake Box, on Ecclesall Road, is celebrating on Saturday, October 31, where cupcakes will be handed out to the first 100 customers.

The giveaway will begin at 11am, with free samples throughout the day available while the stocks last.

Sukh Chamdal, founder and chief executive officer at Cake Box, said: “We are beyond proud of how far Cake Box Sheffield has come in just one year. The support from the local community has been amazing, and we are delighted to be able to give something back.”

The bakery will be serving Cake Box’s signature 100 per cent egg-free, fresh-cream cakes, offering beautifully decorated celebration cakes and everyday indulgences, all handmade and finished in-store.

Children can also take part in a birthday dream cake design competition, with one winner receiving a six-inch cake. Competition sheets will be available to collect in store on the day, to be returned to the store once completed.

The bakery is the UK’s leading retailer of fresh cream, egg-free cakes, with more than 290 stores across the country. It’s known for quick, in-store personalisation and premium celebration cakes.

Sukh Chamdal added: “This giveaway is our way of saying thank you – and we look forward to celebrating with everyone on the day.”
